Instead of studying to get better grades, Dusk decides to have her stud-y (get it?) partner give her an "A" of an entirely different kind. She proves to be the most capable and enthusiastic student. You might say she's a "dirt road" scholar. Sara, a Spanish exchange student, is left in the hands of a top tutor who helps her get her "A." Even though she doesn't speak much English, she certainly understands her lesson. Shyann, in danger of flunking her class, has her professor over for some tutoring. He gives her an "A" for effort, and she becomes the teacher's pet.
